2-day R&D Showcase Concludes

Hyderabad: The R&D Showcase 2025, with the theme, ‘Tech for sustainable futures,’ concluded on Sunday, here.

The Showcase featured over 300 research projects, demos and models from IIITH’s 28 research centres, roundtable discussions on AI on the Edge, Green AI, and Leveraging Emerging Technologies for Social Good, and a research startup showcase by Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE). On day-two, a seminar was held on Excitement of Research (ExOR) for external college students to get inspired about research, and consider a Masters in research, and understand the scope of deep tech jobs.

The event concluded in the evening with IIITH’s Tech Transfer Office felicitating patent recipients. Some of the exhibits showcased at the event included, an Autonomous Wheelchair, designed to enhance mobility and independence for individuals with disabilities, Kath kuni architecture, a 800 year old traditional building style from the Himalayas that uses alternating layers of wood and stone and is earthquake resilient, DriveSim, a driving simulator platform for the Indian environment and Tree Insights and Advanced Multimodel Research Vehicle. “As a research-focused institution, we cherish the enthusiasm of the students and present to the world the results of their research."
